About The Role
Yukawa is looking for a Lead Data & AI Engineer who combines deep technical expertise with strategic leadership. In this role, you will design and implement scalable data and AI platforms while also shaping Yukawa’s overall Data & AI offering.
You will work hands-on in client projects, architecting modern data lakehouse solutions and building AI-driven products for forecasting, optimization, and intelligent automation. At the same time, you will lead and grow a team of Data & AI engineers, define best practices, and act as a trusted technical advisor for our clients.
This role sits at the intersection of technology, strategy, and delivery. You will help Yukawa strengthen its positioning as a leading partner for data platforms and applied AI, including the development of strategic partnerships (e.g. with Databricks and cloud providers).

Tasks
Technical & Hands-on
- Design and implement scalable data architectures, including modern datalakehouse platforms (e.g. Databricks, Delta Lake).
- Build and operate production-grade data pipelines, ML workflows, and AI services.
- Develop AI models for forecasting, optimization, anomaly detection, and intelligent automation.
- Build and deploy AI-powered APIs and microservices in cloud-native environments.
- Apply best practices in MLOps, experiment tracking, CI/CD, and model lifecycle management.
- Support data analysis, feature engineering, and system optimization in client projects.
Leadership & Strategy
- Lead and mentor a growing team of Data & AI engineers, setting technical standards and best practices.
- Define and continuously evolve Yukawa’s Data & AI architecture patterns, toolchains, and delivery approach.
- Drive the strategic development of Yukawa’s Data & AI offerings, including data platforms, analytics, and applied AI solutions.
- Act as a senior technical sparring partner for clients, supporting discovery phases, solution design, and decision-making.
- Build and maintain strategic technology partnerships (e.g. Databricks, cloud providers, data tooling vendors).
- Contribute to presales, proposals, and technical positioning together with consulting and delivery leads.
- Collaborate with the Leadership team on the strategic development of Yukawa as leading AI and IoT driven service company.
Requirements
- Strong experience in data engineering, analytics platforms, and applied machine learning.
- Proven hands-on experience with modern data stacks (e.g. Databricks, Spark, Delta Lake, cloud data services).
- Solid understanding of cloud architectures (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and production-grade AI systems.
- Experience leading technical teams or acting as a technical lead in complex projects.
- Ability to translate business challenges into scalable data and AI solutions.
- Strong communication skills and confidence working directly with clients and stakeholders.
- A strategic mindset combined with a strong willingness to stay hands-on.
